Hi,

sometimes this dialog appears in the Event editor – "Couldn’t create "Pitch" effect". Never happens for any other FX. Usually happens when the event is geting more filled up with parameters, layers and pitch FX:s.

This might be why…

Currently you can’t have two pitch envelopes operating on the same layer.

yes you can usually stack dsp effects on top of each other, but things that are not really dsp effects (volume/pitch/pan and other stuff in the ‘effect’ list that don’t have the word ‘FMOD’ in front of them usually) can’t be enabled twice in the same layer, they just conflict with each other.

I see, doesn’t apply to Volume though, good enough – as this makes a lot of things possible. Any particular reason why this isn’t possible with the Pitch effect specifically?

pitch is a multiplier so you’re just multiplying multipliers, its not something that is very controllable or desirable unless you think it is something you would really need, we can probably do something about it.

in simpler events this might come in really handy

as long as you know what you’re doing with the pitches
