Hm… Now, I’m transforming old xact project to fmod.
What I get is extremely long loading time on huge files (10000 voiceovers ~10Mb .fdp file).
May be problem in file format? You store data in text xml file. It’s cool, because I can transform my old project, but what do you think about binary files?
If problem in the text parsing – you can optimize it, my custom xml loader parse this file just in 3 sec…

fmod doesnt use XML for its compiled fev, it uses binary data, and the file access is buffered so it shouldnt be slow. Also the FSB file format is designed to be seekless and streamed into memory.
Maybe you have selected ‘decompress into memory’ with a compressed format as your wavebank option instead of ‘load into memory’?
