When I call playSound(), is the channel freed after the sound is finished playing? I am in a situation where I don’t release a sound after it is finished playing because I might want to reuse it again later. However, I am running out of channels because they are not being reused.

If what I am asking is unclear, please let me know.

I got my code working. I put in a call to system->update(), which fixed the problem
