[code:144rcmoq]

9/11/06 4.04.47 – Dev release update

  • Added codewarrior libs to PSP build.
  • Added event specific error codes. FMOD_ERR_EVENT_FAILED,
    FMOD_ERR_EVENT_INTERNAL, FMOD_ERR_EVENT_NAMECONFLICT,
    FMOD_ERR_EVENT_NOTFOUND.
  • Wii – Added FMOD_Channel_SetControllerSpeaker/FMOD_Channel_GetControllerSpeaker
    Wii specific functions. Use these functions to set channel to play out
    of Wii controller speaker(s).

  • Wii – Removed FMOD_System_Controller_PlaySound Wii specific function.

  • Fixed FMOD_ERR_DSP_NOTFOUND returning from Event::start and
    Channel::setChannelGroup.
  • Fixed ‘sowt’ compressed AIFFs not playing properly on little endian
    platforms. This also fixes problems with playing audio cds on x86 Mac.
  • Removed warnings from PSP examples.

  • Changed fmodD to fmodL to remove confusion about debug vs logging.
    FmodD was always ‘release with logging’ it was never a true debug lib
    as some people thought.

Hi,

Resently I incorporated plugins into my application. However some plugins cause the program to crash whether it’s ran in the VB6 IDE or the program is ran. I am using the latest FMOD build 4.04.47 with my application. The plugins that in question are output_winmm.dll, output_asio.dll(I didn’t expect this to work since I do not have it installed), output_wavwriter.dll, output_wavwriter_nrt.dll, output_nosound_nrt.dll, and dsp_lowpass_simple.dll. All of these output plugins crash the vb6 examples that come with fmod also. I can’t test the dsp plugin with an example as I haven’t found out yet. I have tried everything I know to do but I still can’t figure this out. So there must be a bug with FMOD or I am missing something. Please check out your "useplugins" example with this new version of FMOD and tell me if the output plugins do work. Thanks.

There was a problem with output plugins crashing in this version. We will be releasing a new version (40449) with the issue resolved in a couple of hours.

I am seeing this error on calls to EventParameter::setValue. The value I am passing is very much in range. Does the above fix resolve this also?
Thanks.

Yes, due to EventParameter::setValue starting/stopping sounds internally, this also has the same fix.
