I’ve made a DLL that uses fmodex and it doesn’t seem to want to load through dlopen. I’m linking with fmodex_vc.lib and I’ve placed fmodex.dll in the executable’s directory. Is there something I’m missing?

Thanks,
Matt

if you take fmod out does it work? I would assume it was a path thing but i don’t have any suggestions besides that. The fmod dll should theoretically load when you loadlibrary on your dll due to the static linkage of fmod. You said dll and dlopen though, what platform are you talking about? dlopen is linux/mac i think.

I was noticing through a dependency-checking tool that dwmapi.dll seems to be referenced by fmodex.dll?" Does anybody know anything about this or where I can find this dll?

Thanks,
Matt

fmodex.dll doesn’t depend on dwmapi.dll at all, dropping fmodex.dll into depency walker shows it depends on:

KERNEL32.DLL
ADVAPI32.DLL
MSACM32.DLL
MSVCRT.DLL
OLE32.DLL
USER32.DLL
WINMM.DLL
WSOCK32.DLL

I get the same as chenpo, and dwmapi is some vista graphics related dll. There is no way fmod depends on it.

According to some googling, maybe you have installed a WinFx beta or something, and system dlls have been overwritten on your machine.
