I’ve been looking through the documentation and the forums trying to find out if it is possible to access the individual tracks of a MIDI file so I can do something like play a song and mute/unmute the drum track in real time. So far it is looking pretty bleak. Can anyone confirm or deny whether FMOD Ex is capable of accessing the individual tracks within a MIDI file? I would think this a useful feature for both game and general audio programming.
fmod3 only supported midi through a directmusic wrapper, so it wouldnt have either.
FMOD Ex treats midi/mod/xm/s3m/it as a single stream (benefits are you can put effects on it, pan them around, even make them 3d), but we dont provide subchannel access.
