I can’t seem to get the latency of FMOD low enough to be useable for games. I tried FMOD_SetBufferSize(1), but as the docs state, any values below 50 are clamped. I tried my game with some other soundlibs and they don’t have that latency, so it can’t be the fault of my OSS driver. I also tried FSOUND_SetBufferSize(0), I don’t know if the latency was gone, but the sound was suffering from constant buffer underruns, so 0 doesn’t seem to be clamped…bug? Anyways, can anyone tell me how I can get rid of this latency? For music this is not much of importance, but I want my soundeffects to be played immidiately when the according action on the screen appears.
