On a few different computers we’re experiencing some lag when a sound is first played(sometimes as high as 1 second). This wasn’t happening before when we were using strictly FMODEx, and not the designer.

I disabled the net-event-system and that seemed to help a little bit. Are there others things I can do to alleviate this?

Thanks, Matt

In fmod-help file just read "Event tree group strategies and loading / memory allocation issues". My problem as probably occuring because I’m not calling EventGroup::loadEventData for the data I need to be resident in memory. If however anybody has any further tips I’d appreciate it.

Thanks,
Matt

Yes if you call EventGroup::getEvent without loading the data, it will load it right there and then. Thats why organizing your event group tree into logical groups that are to be loaded all at once, or in groups (you can use the non blocking flag as well to avoid loading blocking your framerate) with loadEventData is probably the best way to avoid problems like this.
