Hi,

I’m using fmodex version 4.04.51 on win32.

I am playing a sound, with the channel initially paused. I setup several properties on the channel, and then finally call down to FMOD_Channel_SetPaused(ptChannel, FALSE) to play the sound.

In most cases, everything works fine. However, sometimes I get FMOD_ERR_OUTPUT_DRIVERCALL.

This seems to only happen on computers using nvidia nforce sound cards. As far as I know, the drivers are up to date.

Suggestions?

It’s still a driver problem.
I can only suggest trying to lower the hardware voice count to 16 or 24 with setHardwareChannels, or switch to FMOD_SOFTWARE. Hardware is pointless in this day and age and i’ve already ranted a lot about it :) )
