Newsletter i got menitoned that FMOD ex supports MP2 encoding.
Does this mean i can use FMOD to encode audio to MP2 format and then save it to disk?

If so, how is this done?

Are you sure that fmod is encoding and not decoding?
Where did you read this?

From FMOD Newsletter.
I might have understod this incorrectly.

[quote:3mxd3n06]Added MP2 encoding for a faster-than-mp3 to decode format, and usable without the need for a patent license that mp3 requires.[/quote:3mxd3n06]

I think it means the designer can encode into MP2, and the fmod code can decode.

I do not believe its possible to encode Mp2 on the fly with FMOD atm.

FSBankEx supports mp2 encoding to output .FSB files which are fmod’s bank format.
