I just tested the usercreated sound example on my iBook (PPC based). Unfortunately, it doesn’t run properly. It skips every 2-3 seconds in CREATE_STREAM mode while there is abolutely no problem in "SAMPLE-Buffer mode" . I used heavy energy saving. When I use "high performance" settings it gets better, but still hearable. Do you have an idea?
I tried to decrease the decodebuffersize a bit. The weird thing it gets better… When I use "only" 8192 bytes instead of 44100 bytes for decodebuffersize it’s almost ok. I can’t even interpret what I see on my system
thank you guys!

I tried the example a bit more. It seems it gets better the smaller I make the decodebuffersize and worser when I increase it. I am totally puzzled 😉 Is there any reason for this? IMHO, it must be vice versa. I already tried it on a WinXP machine of a friend of mine and it is indeed like I though.
Plz give me a hint what I should do on this. I am trying to make it a really robust playback of my small synth. That’s why I want to make the decodebuffersize pretty big.
I experimented a bit more and I am totally stuck.
The only value for decodebuffersize on MacOSX and my PowerPC iBook is 2048. Everything else will lead to weird sound effects.
I am using only the internal sound device. I borought a external USB sound card but the effect is the same
Is ther anything like fmodL for MacOSX? I couldn’t find it in the macosx-package …
