I’ve got a reproducible crash in cdplayer example, very similar to the crash I get in my Audio Player.

I’ve zipped up the modified example main.cpp which is able to reproduce the crash.

Here is the link: http://www.r2.com.au/fmod/cdplayercrash-main.zip

To reproduce, just press n a couple of times to skip tracks. It usually crashes for me somewhere between 2 and 10 skips

Call stack is as follows:
[code:n5zfq77f]
> msvcrt.dll!77c46fa3()
fmodex.dll!1000e69c()
fmodex.dll!1000d841()
kernel32.dll!7c8025f0()
kernel32.dll!7c802532()
fmodex.dll!1000d25e()
fmodex.dll!10011320()
kernel32.dll!7c80b683()
[/code:n5zfq77f]

This crash is one of the last things that is holding back my next release so I’m more than happy to provide any more information or examples that you need, or if there is something that I’m doing wrong to invoke the crash.

The only other difference compared to what I do in my audio player is that I open it with the FMOD_NONBLOCKING flag, but it seems to reproduce when that is on or off.

Cliff :)

Hi cliff,
Sorry for not getting to this sooner, I have been very busy lately.

Unfortunately your repro doesnt repro. I can press n about 30 times in a row and it works ok.

have you tried different cds, and different machines?
