Is there a way I can load a project from a memory pointer instead of passing a filename and using EventSystem::load? We’d like to use our resource system for loading .FEV files instead of using FMOD.
Yep, that’s what we’re doing. We also have custom file volumes to read from.
It would be more symmetrical to have a pointer/FEV interface though, similar to FSB.
You could pass it a filename, then in your file open callback (which you pass to setFileSystem() ) you could check if the file’s extension is .fev, and if it is then put the data you want into the handle.
Ah, I really wanted to construct the project via a factory function after the resource has loaded, but I didn’t know about setFileSystem and I might be able to work around it using that.
