I thought there was functionality to drag and drop events and sound definitions from one project to another, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Even copy and paste don’t work across multiple open projects. Anyone know how to copy data between two projects (short of moving stuff over via text editor?)

Apologies for the long silence on this. Copy & paste between projects has been enabled in the latest release of Designer (4.21.04).
Drag and drop between projects would require some extensive UI changes, so I can’t say when (if ever) we will support this.

There is a "Merge" option on the file menu. It’s not a replacement for a proper drag and drop, but works fine for files containing different kinds of sounds (you will have to change some bits if the files being merged were using similar sound definitions/names etc.)

I managed to copy and paste between projects (using 1.7.7 then 1.7.10).
It did work fine once and everything was lovely, but then doing it again this afternoon the events copied across, FMOD moaned about not being able to find the sound defs then proceeded to corrupt the entire project 👿
Merge works fine though 😀
