I finally figured this out through hours of wasted frustration.

If you are using a "velocity" parameter, it will ONLY play for as long as the SHORTEST wavetable that plays at the beginning of the event.

So, if I have 3 layers. Layer one has a wavetable of 3 secs, layer two has a wave table of 1 sec, and layer 3 is an oscillator with a velocity curve – I will set my velocity parameter time to 4 seconds, as I want the oscillator to play and fade out for a second or so after the other sound defs are done.

Now, when I audition, I will only hear the first 1 second of the event play, and then it stops. IF that one second sound definition has multiple wavetables of differing lengths, the event will play for as long as the SHORTEST wavetable is comes across at the beginning of the event.

This appears to work correctly in the game, but it’s impossible to audition in designer.

Please fix this.
