I just implemented the sample into vb.net and now it works. But if i have a file playing and i’m clicking on different windows, it goes mute. Is this something about a Directx problem? Is there something like priority?

thx, Humbrie

Check in the help file page for FSOUND_Init and the GLOBAL_FOCUS flag. DirectSound is usually attached to a particular window. When that window is deactivated, sound is muted.

thx i’ll check it. But this effect doesn’t appear if i de-/activate the window of my programm. It appears for example if i activate the develop enviroment (mute) and if i activate any other window it goes unmute. I send my program to another user, and he has the same effect on other windows. 😮
