Hi,

How can I disable reverb for specific events? For example, some events (such as ambient or hud) should be without reverb effect.

Is it possible to disable reverb for specific EventCategory or at least sound group? As far as I understand, per-event reverb settings work only with hardware mixing…

Thanks.

I’m about to implement, which I hope will work :)

event getEventCategory
eventCategory getChannelGroup
channelGroup addDSP

It is incorrect to assume per event reverb settings only work with hardware. They work fine with software.

Well, in FMOD help I can see

[quote:21xykbjf][b:21xykbjf]Event::setReverbProperties[/b:21xykbjf]
Sets the event specific reverb properties for sounds created with FMOD_HARDWARE, including things like wet/dry mix (room size), and things like obstruction and occlusion properties.

Under Win32 / Win64, you must be using FMOD_OUTPUT_DSOUND as the output mode for this to work.
In DSound mode, the reverb will only work if you have an EAX compatible soundcard such as the Sound Blaster, and your sound was created with the FMOD_HARDWARE and FMOD_3D flags.

What the memory losses could be concerned with using of Event::setReverbProperties. Is it "expensive per-event effect"?
