Hi!

I’m trying to make a Mono C# app with FMOD for running on Linux.

I made a simple playstream example, and just changed the "public const string dll = "fmodex.dll";" in "fmod.cs" to "public const string dll = "libfmodex.so";"

But app chrach on init.

Any suggestion, where shoul the "libfmodex.so" file be (I have it in same folders as exe) shall I register "libfmodex.so" some how.

I’n mew to C# coding in Mono/Linux.

Help 😆

just leave it fmodex.dll and copy libfmodex.so into your working directory. Mono will find and modify it automatically.

Hi Ken,

well that sounds like a path issue to me. Just try to modify LD_LIBRARY_PATH or for the ifrst try just copy libfmodex.so to /usr/lib
I cant see any reason why it shouldn’t work :)

You may also need to run ‘ldconfig’ to update the shared library cache.

Moving libfmodex.so to /usr/lib did the trick! Now it works

I’m new to coding apps for Linux, but I will learn…

Thanks!
