[code:3mxtchd9]

05/06/07 1.07.17

  • Removed the "Spawn Intensity" sound definition property and re-introduced
the minimum and maximum spawn time properties. The spawn intensity layer
effect now scales the average spawn time by (1 / (envelope value))
  • Added a tree view for sound selection to the "New sound" dialog
  • Made the "New sound" dialog remember its size between sessions
  • Added the "Channel Mix" effect, providing control over the incoming levels
of multichannel sounds in an event layer – useful to set volumes of
subchannels for things like interleaved multichannel music etc

  • Fixed export of FSB files not writing correct flags, so that if a sound
has 2d AND 3d wave entries in a soundbank, it wouldn’t load.

  • .FEV file format updated! FMOD Designer 1.07.17 requires FMOD version 4.06.20,
    4.07.17 or higher.

Hi Brett,

I have installed FMOD Designer 1.07.16 (along with FMOD Ex 4.06.20), and I can’t load projects created with it. I create a project, I save it, I close FMOD Designer and open it again – and have a blank project loaded. Same thing happens when I open that project from the "File" menu.

I guess that applies for the opposite as well, ie you can’t mix 4.06.20 with 1.07.17

This happens on both 1.07.16 and 1.07.17 versions when one or more files in project have Unicode characters in its path or filename.

Wasting the whole project because one data file has a Unicode filename, this is the kind of odd way of handling Unicode, is it?

Hi,

our company decided to purchase FMOD for our next title production.
Preparing the whole process, I’ve set up a complete project containing placeholders but the right hirarchy and event parameters, RPCs.

But now, after saving the project just half an hour ago, FMOD Designer cannot find several wave files that are referenced in one of my wavebanks.

I also realized that the project suddenly lacks of the paths to source files and the build path.

An example:

I created an event "fx/menu/ctrl/close" that uses the sound definition "menu/ctrl/open" which refers to the forth wavebank "bank_items" that contains a wavefile reference to the relative path "menu/ctrl/open.wav"

Trying to add the file again doesn’t work.

Whenever I want to work on the wavebanks directly (I have 4 wavebanks, 3 are working) I have to get through all "Cannot find waveform: "…""-dialogs. I can even look into the list of the broken wavebank but whenever I want to do some action on it, I get al lthe error dialogs again and cannot use it.
I can’t even right-click on the broken wavebank to delete it and recreate it.

All files exist and there is no write protection on it.

Saving the project crashes the application and destroys the project file.

What kind of problem is this? Do you need more info to maybe recreate the problem? Please help, I don’t want to do all the work again, it took me 2 weeks and we are on a tight production schedule. I can’t really effort to do it again!

Carsten

Is this the same Unicode issue thats noted above?

All right guys,

I solved it. I just took XML-Notepad from MS and looked into the project file and found out that one filename contained a space as well as some identifiers/names.

Please look into this and fix it. The application is crashing and destroying your project just because there is a space in one of the names.

Carsten

Can you send the project that fails to support@fmod.org please?
