With all wma, I’ve got error 64 returned by createStream. FMOD Ex version is 4.07.17 (windows 2000).

[code:oh4flml6] FMOD error! (64) A resource that the plugin requires cannot be found. (ie the DLS file for MIDI playback) [/code:oh4flml6]

WMA files was well playing with FMOD 3 under the same system.

Does anyone know what creates this error and how to fix it ?
Is there some specific hardware or something for using wma with FMOD Ex (I know this format is manage differently from FMOD 3 to FMOD EX).

Have you got the windows media stuff installed? There is a link to the redist on our downloads page in the extras/other stuff section.

edit: if it is windows 2000 and not XP then yes this is highly likely to be the problem.

I’ve installed the media stuff, but not the one distrbuted in download page. I’ve picked one directly from microsoft.
I will try to install the one distributed here but I’m not sure this will change anything.

As it works with FMOD 3 on the same machine/system, I was thinking the issue does not come from the windows media install (windows media player can play wma files without any problems).

Use the one on our website, fmod3 uses directshow, FMOD Ex doesn’t.

With the windows media distribution provided in the download page, all is working well now.

Thanks 😀
