I was wondering if there is a function that allows for random panning.

I would like to be able to place head relative sounds in the game that randomly play from different locations.

Ideally, I would like to be able to specify:
– Panning randomization (deviation in % from its original position)
– Range (only front speakers, only rear speakers, full surround, etc.)
– Spread

Not that I’m aware of. The way we do it is our sound designer marks the sound as Head Relative, and then I generate a random position about the origin every time I play the sound. Seems to work, but doesn’t leverage any fancy designer features.

Could it be implemented just like volume and pitch randomization?

one feature we do have planned is ‘randomized 3d offset’ which is probably what you’re talking about. That is coming soon.

Great. Could you be more specific about the date and functionality. I need to know whether or not this will come in time fro my project or I’m gonna have to request that functionality from my programmers.

I’m curious if there is any progress on this. Maybe ETA??

Thanks,
