I see that .FSB files can be loaded from memory, which matches our company’s content loading strategy. But, I can’t find any way to load a .FEV file other than by filename. Could you add the ability to load [i:2xq81meu]all[/i:2xq81meu] content and resources from memory? It would make life a lot easier for us.

Thanks.

You probably want to look at file callbacks, that way you will get a callback when any type of file is opened through fmod and you can point it to a memory location instead of trying to load a file.

Hey, thanks for the tip. That will probably take care of my problem.

I have a branch in which I load all fmod content (.fev:s and .fsb:s) from memory and it works rather nice. All I do is to use the filesystem callbacks in which I have a toggle which is set when entering the load-from-memory wrapper and unset when exiting. I do have some minor problems with fsb loading though since it doesn’t seem like everything gets loaded. I haven’t figured out if this is a bug in FMOD or our code. Fsb loading in general is actually rather messy if you don’t want to use the register-functions which you don’t if you want all content in the same memory-pool.
