I would like to use a randomized ‘time offset’ when I trigger a looping sound event, so that it doesn’t sound the same every time my event starts.
(This is for a car skid sound)

The only way I can think of to do this currently is to set up a parameter in the event editor, link it to the ‘Time offset’ effect for the skid sound’s layer, and then provide a random value to that parameter from code every time I start the event.

Is there an easier way to do this?
Note: It would be nice if you could set a parameter to start at a random value from the parameter properties box. That way this kind of behavior could be defined entirely from the editor with no code support (and you could use the randomization on other effects too).

Thanks,
Ryan.
