where can i find c examples for fmod, instead of c++?

or at least tell me how to make this function work:
sound->getDefaults(&rate, 0, 0, 0);

for a different method i got far enough to do this:
result = FMOD_Sound_GetFormat (sound. 0, 0, &channels, &bits);

but i still get compiling errors:
expected identifier before numeric constant

i’m becoming very frustrated, please just tell me what i need to do in order to get the c equivalent of these methods to work, thank you.

[code:1ylbzk19]result = FMOD_Sound_GetFormat (sound. 0, 0, &channels, &bits);[/code:1ylbzk19]

Don’t you mean:
[code:1ylbzk19]result = FMOD_Sound_GetFormat(sound,0,0,&channels,&bits);[/code:1ylbzk19]
