Is there a way to apply an effect to a cone?

I’d like to apply a LPfilter to "back" of the sound.
How/when/where is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

There’s a new param coming through soon if your using event driven data, called ‘angle’ which is the angle to the sound, you could probably use that.

Hi,
a1psx, I’m assuming you’re talking about the ‘heading’ parameter, which probably won’t do what jocorok wants, as it gives the angle from the listener to the sound, rather than from the sound to the listener (i.e. the orientation of the sound has no effect).

To apply an effect to a cone, your game engine would currently need to calculate the angle from the sound to the listener and update a parameter appropriately. However, we are looking into providing this as an automatic parameter called ‘(cone angle)’.

Cheers,
Ben

I have just added this feature – it should be in the next release. The new parameter is called "(event angle)"; it measures the angle between the event’s orientation vector and the vector from the event to the closest listener.

Cheers,
Ben
