How does FMOD decide what length the buffers sent to the dsp read callback are? Is this directly related to the software format of the System object? Or can it be set on a per channel basis when creating a stream by calling setStreamBufferSize before createStream?

I’ve looked in a few places in the docs, but nothing clearly explains how the length is determined.

Yes length is directly related to System::getDSPBufferSize and System::getSoftwareFormat.

Which means it can’t be set on a per-channel basis…

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

Not for the length in samples.

I should have mentioned that for channels the width of the samples is not based on the channel count in getSoftwareFormat , it is the channel count of the sound playing on the channel.
