Hi,

When intalling the latest 4.10.01 release, my virus scanner finds a trojan in output_nosound.dll in the plugin folder. The Trojan is Downloader.gen.a
and the purpose is to download and execute something. It looks like it’s downloading a mmorpg keylogger.

Being picked up with McAfee, is it a false positive?

I do hope so.

Yes it was caught with McAfee, it was automatically removed successfully by removing the complete .dll file.

that is extremely unlikely, the dll is built on a clean machine that noone even uses (its a standalone build machine), and fmod.dll has come up as a false positive before, macafee had to update their database because of it. There are also about 30 other dlls shipped in that archive, its a bit strange for one to be the issue. I’m calling false positive.
