Will Win32 FMod support unicode filenames, or maybe FSOUND_Stream_OpenFromHandle for CreateFile(A/W) file handles.
I’m currently using GetShortPathNameW and convert the result to ANSI, but I’d prefer CreateFileW support.

Another work around is to create a stream from your music file (which allow to use UNICODE), then pass that stream to FMOD by FSOUND_Stream_Open.

I’d recommend switching to FMOD Ex which supports unicode

Already have an [optional] fmodex layer for my software, which should support any version from 4.02.06 on (so older versions could be supported too).
Default layer, however, is still FMod3, because it is reliable (FModEx too!) and I don’t have to test updated versions that often (already missed one again: 4.08.16).
If you ever do any bugfixes or enhancements to FMod 3, unicode filename support would be great.
