So I downloaded fmod added th elib to the settings. I copied the dll to the PPC emulator. It compiles.. it links

so then I run it and it just hangs the emulator.

I am sorta new so maybe I have forgetting something simple?

[quote="brett":oh475dpq]does it do this if you try to do an app without fmod involved?[/quote:oh475dpq]

works fine without including fmodce lib

I was thinking I was missing a step but not anything to it besides
put the dll on the device and run it

so I am forced to debug without the emulator so what I am doing is taking fmod out until the end ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I have the same problem.

  1. I compile and run it on the Pocket PC
    • works fine
  2. I compile the samething on Pocket PC 2002
    • Compiles and starts, but it cant use the fmodce.dll

Is this only a problem with the emulator?

Ok….I am using the new version you posted, and it is still hanging.
I have commented out all of the fmod calls, linked against the library,
and it still hangs. ๐Ÿ˜•

I am using the /wec300/x86emu libraries.
The dll is in the /windows directory of the emulator.

If you get an opportunity ๐Ÿ˜€ ( I know how much effort running a website AND developing involves! ),I have zipped the workspace up, and put it in
http://www.dodgyposse.com/fmod/mod%20player.zip

Basically, it doesn’t even call fmod, just links against it…

I’m mad keen to get this going, and when I tell you that I am the lead games developer for Orange ( 2nd biggest mobile operator in the UK ),
I hope you realise what this could mean for yourself….
