I am trying to create an empty sound to use later for recording, but im getting a result of FMOD_ERR_EVENT_INTERNAL when i call system->createSound. Can anyone verify that this code would be correct? BTW i can play sounds perfectly using fmod . I on Vista 64

[code:iitrc6pm]

FMOD::Sound           *sound   = 0;

result = FMOD::System_Create(&system);

FMOD_CREATESOUNDEXINFO exinfo;

memset(&exinfo, 0, sizeof(FMOD_CREATESOUNDEXINFO));

exinfo.cbsize           = sizeof(FMOD_CREATESOUNDEXINFO);
exinfo.numchannels      = 1;
exinfo.format           = FMOD_SOUND_FORMAT_PCM16;
exinfo.defaultfrequency = 44100;
exinfo.length           = exinfo.defaultfrequency * sizeof(short) * exinfo.numchannels * 5;

result = system->createSound(0,FMOD_2D | FMOD_SOFTWARE |  FMOD_OPENUSER, &exinfo, &sound);[/code:iitrc6pm]

Please have a look at the recording example that ships with the API it shows how to do what you are looking for.
