Hi,

I am an old user of FMOD (i have also licensed some shareware products).

I have a question I don’t know how to ask…

What i need is to access some values of the playing song, so i can modify my game depending on this values.

For example, if i have a rock song i will create a type of level different that if it is a ballad song.

I think that if i can read some analyzer values from the song, i could do something like that, but don’t know if fmod supports this.

Are you looking to get these values while it is playing or are you wanting to get it all before the song starts playing?

If you want it while it is playing, you could use functions like GetSpectrum and GetWaveform and use those values.

Detecting whether the song is a rock song or a ballad is probably best done before it is played. So you would have to use some loop and go through the whole song. I’m not sure on the details of how to do that, as I dont really mess with those features much. But im sure some else could explain how to lock and unlock chunks of data and analyze it.
