Well… subj.

I create events using EventSystem::getEvent(). I have no. of instances set to 2, and when the 3rd event is created, first handle becomes invalid, but the callback is not called (so I can’t detect the handle has become invalid), and thus all the calls fail with error.

Any kind of help is greaply appreciated. :-(

Upping the topic… I’ve narowed down the problem to the following — the STOLEN event callback is not called if you didn’t start the playback of the event. Thus, having created more events that is allowed and then playing them all together (for example, on inserting them into scene), we get invalid handles.

RFC from devs: is this behavior intentional or is it a bug and will be fixed?

Hi,
This behaviour is intentional – the event is only considered to be stolen if it is playing when the steal occurs.
