I’m having a hard time grasping the basic logic in the interactive music. I figured the "segments can be linked and triggered by cues", but I’m not exactly sure how they should be arranged logically.

Questions:
– Can a segment be interrupted (on beat) to jump to another segment even in the middle of a segment, or do the segment WAVs need to be cut short for fast response?
– If I want the music to have a base layer and a drumming layer, and fade the drumming in and out according to a parameter, but in sync with the base layer, should I place the drumming into a separate Theme, or just to another segment within the theme?

I’m a dummy, I need a tutorial and better examples. :)

At this point, a segment cannot transition until the audio in the segment has finished. So to get the faster response you are talking about, you will need to make the audio files smaller.

We will be adding the feature (early exit points) in later versions.

Yes the drumming segments should be added to a ‘concurrent’ theme. Take a look at the example included with Designer. You need to setup your drumming segments in a theme like ‘sting_on_beat’ or ‘sting_on_bar’

Inside your base layer, you’ll need to specify which beats in the segments are valid ‘sync points’ using the step-sequencer style widget.

They are in development =)

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
