Has any using the Profiler tab in Designer run into practical limits with regard to the size of their category tree? I have a rather large category setup that seems to be choking the Profiler. On very simple maps with just a couple of sounds, everything works normally, but when more sounds start to load, the profiling canvas goes blank, the CPU meter freezes, and the game crashes soon afterward.

Has anyone seen similar behavior? Is there a hard limit for channel groups that Profiler can display?

You shouldn’t be experiencing a crash, although there was a fix regarding that a couple of versions ago (what version are you using?).

You are however hitting a limit at the moment though if you have a large network. It is a know issue and will be fixed soon, it’s high on my list, so stay tuned for a fix.

Yes 4.13.05 had a crash when the profiler limit was reached, upgrading to 4.14 would fix that issue.

EDIT:
I have removed the limit, so the next version of the FMODEx API will send large DSP networks.
