Before I started using the FMOD Designer API I controlled the overall volume with the following code:

[code:qwlzqtkf]ChannelGroup* pChannelGroup = NULL;
m_pSystem->getMasterChannelGroup(&pChannelGroup);
pChannelGroup->setVolume(Volume);[/code:qwlzqtkf]

Which worked fine. But since switching, I changed the code to:

[code:qwlzqtkf]System pSystem;
m_pEventSystem->getSystemObject(&pSystem);
ChannelGroup
pChannelGroup = NULL;
pSystem->getMasterChannelGroup(&pChannelGroup);
pChannelGroup->setVolume(Volume);[/code:qwlzqtkf]

And it no longer works… So my question is how should I control the overall volume of the application with the FMOD Designer API?

FMOD_RESULT EventSystem::getCategory(
const char * name,
EventCategory ** category
);

The name of an event category within this event system. Specify "master" to retrieve the master event category.

Then set that category.

Had the same problem here.

This should be in the documentation.

It´s mentioned here too:
