I’m looking at revision_stable.txt (as linked from your web pages) trying to determine what has changed since the version we’re currently synced to (0x00041201).

It seems like many header entries are missing. For example, there are no entries between
6/11/07 4.11.00
and
01/02/08 4.13.00

Similar story in revision_dev.txt. Am I overlooking something?

Thanks.

The way we have handled revision text in the past is slightly complicated. Where you see the jump from 4.11.00 to 4.13.00 you are seeing all the changes between those versions lumped in the 4.13.00 list. This is meant to simplify seeing what is new in that newly released development branch.

If you have 4.12.01, (which is a stable branch because 12 is even), there will be fixes only going into that branch. You can see these fixes under the 4.13.00 list. You can also see new features we have added internally that have been release in 4.13.00 in that same list.

We realize it’s a bit confusing so we have actually changed how we do it, which you will notice when we next release a new development branch. Since we have an internal branch, in the future you will see each change we made internally, then each change as its released through development and then the fixes as stable. We won’t be lumping the changes together anymore, instead to get a highlight of changes for the new branch we will have a separate list, probably in the documentation.
