Hi,

i´m new in this forums, but i works with FMOD the last month. I’m doing an advanced audio APP and i want to use FMOD library. I need to change the velocity of the song (pitch control in djjing world) but i don´t know if it is possible with FMOD. ¿Someone know if it’s possible? I would be very grateful 😉

Regards

p.s Sorry for my bad english level 😛

Hi Josuku,

Altering the pitch (as well as tempo) of a sample is quite easy. All you need to do is set the sampling rate approriately.

In FMOD 3.75 you could use FSOUND_SetFrequency or FMUSIC_SetMasterSpeed as needed.

Note: In FMOD Ex you have the ability to change pitch without changing the tempo using the pitch shifter DSP effect.

cheers,
Templar

Thanks Templar,

my problem is that i’m developing for Windows Mobile 5.0, because i’m forced to use FMOD 3.75, because FMOD EX does not support Windows CE. Furthermore i’m developing in C#, so i need to use a wrapper.

Regards 😉
