I also asked at Crymod, but it seems not too many people there are keen on helping. So basically I’m working with some people to make a mod for the video game Crysis. I’ve made alot of custom sounds and I have just learned how to use Fmod through the Manual. I compiled everything and put it into a pak file (just a zip file with pak extension) in the crysis game folder. Now everytime I load the sound browser in crysis editor (sandbox2) I can see all my files, But I can’t listen to them. I’ve uploaded my fdp, fev, and fsb files (bear in mind that the sounds on the fsb have been replaced with beeps instead of the mod’s content) so if anyone can look at them and tell me what I’m doing wrong here I would be very grateful.

Also, I know most people here don’t have the sandbox2 editor but this is the error it gives me:

[Error] File lg133.fdp/lg133.fdp.fev open failed!

One of the other mod developers had similar results when doing what I did, He didn’t tell me what error he got, I assume it was the same one.

here’s my files:

At a guess, you may need the correct version of FMOD that Crysis uses, the FEV version/format has changed since then.

I’m using 1.07.23, the version that crysis uses. It came with the crysis sdk.

when he turned the verbosity of the log up another developer got this error: create event group failed! (84) The requested event, event group, event category or event property could not be found.
