using c and directX and windows i am adding sound to my game, i know how to add an effect to a event but i want to only add the effect to a channel

is it possible to add the preset arena sound to justa channel

If you set a global reverb it will affect everything.
You will either have to set al lthe event’s reverb level to -60, or instead use ChannelGroup::addDSP and add a user created reverb unit to it, then when playing a sound with playsound, use Channel::setChannelGroup to put the voice into that reverbed channelgroup.
