I know this is going to sound like an absurd question, but is it possible to install the 360 API to use with the Mac version of FMOD Designer? I’m pretty sure the answer is no, but hey maybe I’m wrong.

No, the Mac version of designer cannot encode data as XMA for the Xbox360 since there is no Mac compatible library provided by Microsoft. You should be able to do everything except build the banks though, like setting up and managing projects, etc.

AFAIK you cannot, but Parallels makes that sort of problem relatively moot.

True. The problem that I’ve encountered with a virtual machine is that we use perforce. With the perforce client installed on the Mac side of the system, the pipeline gets a little convoluted particularly with regard to the paths of sound definitions. Its just an extra step in the pipeline that makes it just a bit more of a pain than I would prefer. Oh well, back to vm land…
