Hey all,

We’re currently planning to allow users to specify external playlists to override our in-game music. Any chance of support being added for the WPL (Windows Play List) format? This is the default format of the latest versions of Windows Media Player, so it’s likely a fairly pervasive format. As such, we’d like to support it as well.

It looks like a fairly simple XML-based format:

Thanks!

It’s really up to you to extract the files from the play list and make an internal list in your program…

A very simple tag search is usually good enough to handle all of those.

I’m not really sure what you mean by "it’s really up to you"… You’re aware that FMOD already supports a number of playlist formats, correct? Why exactly are you proposing that I roll my own playlist reader instead of requesting support for another common playlist file format?
