I can’t find any documentation on exactly what the "-O" argument of fsbankexcl.exe is doing, other than

"-O [0…90] Optimize sample rate (and further reduce rate by given percentage) (default = off)"

we are running fsbankexcl.exe on a 4.5MB .ogg file, and with -O it takes a ridiculously long time to process it (20-30 minutes?) What exactly does -O do? The full cmdline we use is

fxbankexcl -f pcm -p pc -O [oggfile]

and we use default quality…

It analyzes the file and finds the best sample rate for it by doing frequency analysis. 4.5mb ogg means 45mb pcm data probably, not a trivial amount of data.
