Hi, I’m french and i am 26.

How to load a sound with CreateSound and play it without waiting for the full load in the memory of mp3 (same as CreateStream but without to use).
I would thereafter use setfrequency -44100 to play backward.

Ah, I did not think you could set a negative frequency on a sound

With using CreateStream, i could set a negative frequency, the sound is played back. (ie: -44100 reverse play)

Maybe CreateSound with the FMOD_CREATESTREAM option will not have the limitation?

Negative frequency (in software mode only I assume)… Interesting. Rewinding time in a game with this option for soud should be a cool effect.

backwards playback only works on pcm data, so you have to decompress it into memory first.

Can I decompress the sound into memory and play the sound
at the same time ?

icuurd12b42, CreateSound with the FMOD_CREATESTREAM option is not work with negative frequency.
