Hi, I’m trying to track down a problem where I can’t get FMOD to stream from a registerMemoryFSB()’d FSB. But my current problem is that I can’t get FMOD to output any debug traces.

I am currently calling:
[code:1xee10mh]FMOD::Debug_SetLevel( FMOD_DEBUG_LEVEL_ALL & FMOD_DEBUG_TYPE_FILE & FMOD_DEBUG_TYPE_EVENT );[/code:1xee10mh]
and I get no output at all, either in the OutputDebugString window, or on stdout/stderr.

I have called this before and after initialising FMOD.

Moreover, if I set FMOD::Debug_SetLevel( FMOD_DEBUG_ALL );, FMOD will stall somewhere deep in EventSystem::load().

I am linking against fmod_event_netL.lib and fmodexL_vc.lib. System is winxp, vs2005 (sp1).

Doh!

Ok, fixed that, but I still don’t get any output anywhere. I tried putting back in FMOD::Debug_SetLevel( FMOD_DEBUG_ALL ); but I still don’t get any output. The only indication that I get that it’s actually logging is that anything FMOD-related now takes a lot longer to execute.

Where is FMOD supposed to output all the debug traces? Stdout? OutputDebugString? A log file in the CWD?

Cheers

Hmmm… I fount it!

It is the fmod.log file in CWD. I wasn’t finding it because we were changing CWD after startup :(

So, I can now investigate my original problem 😉
