Hello, I’m trying to apply DSP effects to my system.

I’m under the impression that if I use the system to apply the effect, as it is shown in the examples, that it will apply the effect to all sounds playing and all sounds that will be played until the effect is turned off. Is this assumption correct?

Also, when I set up the DSP, I do it exactly as it’s done in the example code, the FMOD_RESULT’s are always returned FMOD_OK, but the sound system seems to not be affected at all.

Does the format of the audio file matter at all? I’m using OGG format for pretty much every sound in my game.

More specifically, this is how I’m doing things…

In the constructor of my class, the FMOD::DSP object is created, and I have a function that is a public class member that flips the effect on and off and is pretty much a copy-paste of the example code.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

make sure you’re using FMOD_SOFTWARE for your sounds.
