Hello!

I’m not a noob to FMOD but I am definately not an expert.

What I am trying to do is get a spectrum or oscilloscope from the currently playing sound.

I need to get a spectrum or oscilloscope of the currently playing song coming from iTunes. My program is not interfaced with iTunes in any way. I just want to grab the spectrum from the Windows mixer device and display it on a spectrum.

I know how to make a spectrum/oscilloscope. I just don’t know how to capture the sound coming from my sound device.

Any ideas?

thanks

Pretty sure you can’t use fmod that way. The only data it can see is the data it creates.

Well it can record sounds… I managed to record my iTunes song as it was playing… so I just need the right code to send the sound being recorded to my spectrum.

I might have to get down and dirty and actually flip thru the documentation… 😀 Just thought I was missing something obviously easy.
