Hi there,

I’ve been messing about with FMod as I came across it whilst looking for a Shoutcast solution for WM6. Unfortunately I cannot see any examples of connecting to a shoutcast stream in this way, but have found a reference saying it isn’t supported in the CE version.

Sooo… is it possible? If not, how comes? If it is, how can I play a stream using a VB.NET / C# Application in WM6?

Thanks in advance.

It is possible.
I used libmad (http://www.underbit.com/products/mad/) to decode the mp3 data to pcm data.

I got the libmad source from gsplayer (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/)

I then fed the pcm data to a stream created using FSOUND_Stream_Create.

I initially used mp3sharp (http://www.robburke.net/mle/mp3sharp/) but it was too slow for the pocket pc. Works fine on the desktop though.
