Unfortunatly in the current release the cd playback doesn’t work
anymore! Now we have a big problem in our product.

When I take a look at your support forum there seams to be further bug
reports concerning cd playback, but I can’t find no offical answer from you.

The cd playback is a feature that we need and you promised in your
feature list. So please fix the bug as soon as possible.

hhm, well I reported this one and a half month ago and got no response:
http://52.88.2.202/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10425

Since then I came back almost every day to see any changes… Unfortunatly, none changes…

I am not sure if nobody cares about it or it just works for the others. I am quite disappointed to start reworking a CD ripper on my own now :( I tough it’s working in fmod quite easy… Hopefully, firelight just silently cancels mp3 support one day ….

Why would you want them to silently cancel MP3 support?

Also, emailing support@fmod.org is the correct course of action if a problem in FMOD needs to be answered immediately.

Ok this was quite polemic. Nevertheless, this nightmare might once become true since when nobody cares about MP3, it’s not anymore tested and so it just left broken someday.

Unfortunately or fortunately, there is nothing to hard reproduce. Just start up "cdplayer.exe". It just don’t start up. Sometimes it gives an error like this: "FMOD error! (79) A command issued was not supported by this object. Possibly a plugin without certain callbacks specified." and sometime different error messages. As I wrote, it’s not a specific machine problem. I tested on several machines.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I get an error with the CD Example, the error is always the same.

[code:3qu5fafx]FMOD Error! (79) A command issued was not supported by this object...[/code:3qu5fafx]

This can be fixed by changing every "FMOD_TIMEUNIT_SENTENCE_MS" to "FMOD_TIMEUNIT_MS"

This works perfectly for me on a 32-bit XP machine as well as a 64-bit vista machine. Let us know if this fixes your problems, if not we’ll investigate this further.
