We are developping a game for Wiiware and Xbox live. we will be using Fmod. The problem I have is that for the Wiiware version, there can be no streaming audio(so I was told. Is this true?) so what would be the best format? I think it would be GCADPCM so how good do these files sound? I haven’t got my Wii kit installed yet so could’nt test this in Fmod.
It is our first nex gen title It would be great if you guys could give us a hand with the optimizations. (chapter 6 in the docs)

If you’re a Nintendo developer (which you must be to make WiiWare), your TRC document will tell you whether or not you can use streaming files…

You’ll want to use GCADPCM most likely. The files sound just fine – and you’ll get a decent compression ratio. They’re hardware accelerated as well, so you wont be wasting CPU cycles decoding them.

For Xbox you’ll want to use XMA.
