is there a way to crossfade and adjust crossfade time and curve between different sound instances in a single layer in event?

if not this should really be intergrated for the next build because I got very small sounds playing randomly really really fast and I get tics in between them. this could also be a great new way to have random ambiance and music.

by overlapping sound definition boxes, you can control the cross fade curve, and if you want to control the time, then that depends on how fast the parameter is moving (either it moves automatically with a ‘parameter velocity’ or you’re moving it yourself’).

Do you mean something else? Like a sound definition that is randonly spawning?

Yes I mean exactly that!. sound definitions that are randomly spawning.

for some events crossfading between spawning sound would sound a lot better than waithing for the previous to end.

And I have a comment for the Interactive music section. It is normal that we would want music themes to switch on tempo or on beat for some events. But it would be really nice to have the control on the crossfade time and transition behavior between themes. a simple application like in winamp where you set the crossfade time and curve, and when the theme is called. BOOOM the magic happens. I would have liked to use a interactive music tool but Its too complicated so I’ll use the event tab instead.

Currently you can’t crossfade, but have you tried increasing the "Maximum spawned sounds" property of the sound definition? If this is greater than 1, it will allow sounds to spawn without waiting for the previous sound to end.

You do. Check out the "Synchronization" section in the theme properties.
